Import your reputation: your eBay track record counts here now
I opened my eBay account in July of 1999. It is old enough to rent a car. Over the years it picked up a thousand-and-change sales and a 100% positive feedback score, which is the kind of thing you earn one carefully packed box at a time.
And here’s what all of that history is worth the moment you start selling anywhere else: nothing. Every marketplace makes you start over at zero. You could have twenty-five years of happy buyers behind you and your new profile still greets the world with the scarlet letter of online selling: “New seller · No reviews yet.”
That always seemed silly to me. Reputation is the single most valuable thing a seller owns, and it’s the one thing you can’t pack in a box and bring with you. So we built a way to bring it with you.
What importing your reputation looks like
Add your eBay username in Settings > Edit Profile and we pull in your public feedback: your positive percentage and how many sales you’ve made. Once it’s confirmed, a verified checkmark appears next to your name (the same way Instagram or Twitter does it, minus the monthly fee). Buyers who hover or tap it see the receipts.

One of our founding sellers. 32,411 sales is not a typo.
The checkmark shows up on your listings and your shop page, right next to your location and how long you’ve been here. If you already have StillSparkly reviews, those stay front and center (your reputation here will always matter most). The import is for everyone who did their reputation-building somewhere else first.

Everything a nervous buyer wants to know, one line under your name.
Yes, we check
A checkmark you can give yourself is worthless, so you can’t give yourself this one. Every eBay link gets looked over by an actual human (hi, it’s me) before the checkmark appears, usually within a day. The numbers refresh weekly after that, so what buyers see stays current.
One honest note on what the checkmark means: it verifies the seller, not the individual piece. It says “this person has a long public track record of shipping what they sold.” Every order is covered by Buyer Protection either way, checkmark or not.
If you sell here, look for the gray checkmark
Sellers who haven’t imported yet will notice a little gray outline of the checkmark next to their name on their own shop page. Nobody else can see it. Think of it as a tiny to-do item that follows you around (lovingly) until you claim the real one.

My own shop page, mid-nag. It takes about thirty seconds to make it turn green.
We started with eBay because it has the deepest pile of seller reputation on the internet and (unlike most platforms) it makes feedback public. If your track record lives on Poshmark or Etsy or somewhere else, tell us through the contact page. Every request is a vote for what we support next.
You earned that score one box at a time. It should count everywhere you sell.
